Our Love Story

Kay
Kay
My mum always said that Pete was "waiting for the other one to mess up," Its funny how your mum is always right because take it right back to April 1994 I have to be honest I was terrified at the intensity of my feelings for you, Pete. I hid your cycling gloves behind my back in the hope you would kiss me. Its something I had waited a very long time for. I convinced myself that you didn't like me, but in my heart I knew in the way you looked at me there was chemistry. I kicked myself often for losing contact for over 20 years but this proves life is mapped out.

I wholeheartedly believe the universe saw me struggling and sent me the sweetest most patient and kind and selfless person  I could have asked for. Someone who I know will keep mine and my daughter's (now ours) heart safe. You make life make sense in a world that just didn't and times were really hard.  I believe that all it takes is for the girl who was never loved properly to meet the man who was never appreciated and boom life all starts to make sense! No matter what lies ahead we are a team and I know we can tackle it together.

The wait for this perfect fairytale  will be 11,479 days from that first kiss when I was just 15 so its right that we party accordingly!!! The life we have created is nothing short of amazing and I can't wait for you to call me your wife.

Back when I was 18 in 1993, I met Kay when she was walking out of Maidstone Girls Grammar School I could see that this  smiley, giggly and also very attractive young lady  was a real catch, but for me, she was out of reach, and out of my league!   Fast forward to 2013, we met again through the power of social media, and I thought it would be great to meet to have a catch up.   I arranged to go to a pub called the Woolpack in Benover, and as soon as I saw her I thought - WOW!!  This young lady was stunning, and throughout our pub meal, I could sense that this was the one for me, the lady who not just stole my heart, but also infiltrated my brain, and I couldn't think of anyone else that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.  In 2016, I made the next important decision in my life, to move from Maidstone up to live with Kay in Orpington. Kay has also welcomed and opened her heart to my children, for which I will forever be grateful.  Now 'Our' children and grandchildren celebrate with us  on this momentous occasion and I am so excited to be able to confirm my love with Kay in front of all our families and friends.
